Abstract:
Human communication is an act characterized by its great complexity, which consists of two types of language: verbal or spoken language, composed of all linguistic signs, and non-verbal language, which includes paralanguage, kinesics, chronemics and proxemics. Both types of language are present in every communicative act, although there is evidence that non-verbal elements play a fundamental role as meaning regulators and delimiters. Therefore, due to its crucial importance, non-verbal communication is an essential component of the teaching/learning process in order to ensure the learner’s ability to understand the language and the context in which it is spoken. The present Master’s dissertation offers an analysis of non-verbal communication and its two systems, as well as it addresses its treatment in the Spanish classroom. This is a didactic proposal in which the audiovisual element (specifically, Almodóvar’s filmography) and the educational component are combined to create a series of recreational and motivational activities, aimed at B2 learners, which allow the exploration of the non-verbal component and the awareness of the different functions that non-verbal signs perform throughout the communicative act. ; La comunicación humana es un acto de gran complejidad, constituido por dos tipos de lenguaje: el lenguaje verbal, conformado por todos los signos lingüísticos, y el lenguaje no verbal, el cual engloba el paralenguaje, la quinésica, la cronémica y la proxémica. Ambos tipos de lenguaje están presentes en todo acto comunicativo, pero se tiene constancia del papel fundamental que desempeña el elemento no verbal como regulador y delimitador de significados. Por lo tanto, dada su importancia capital, este se convierte en un componente imprescindible a tener en cuenta en todo proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje de idiomas, para asegurar que los aprendientes sean plenamente competentes en la lengua meta. El presente Trabajo Final de Máster ofrece un análisis de la comunicación no verbal y de los dos sistemas que la constituyen, así como aborda su tratamiento en el aula de ELE. Se trata de una propuesta didáctica en la que el elemento audiovisual (concretamente, la filmografía de Almodóvar) y el componente educativo se unen para crear una serie de actividades lúdicas y motivadoras, destinadas a aprendientes de nivel B2, que permitan la exploración del componente no verbal y la toma de conciencia de las diferentes funciones que desempeñan los signos no verbales a lo largo del acto comunicativo.
